Download 100 of the *cough* greatest Pop songs for free…

July 28th, 2005 No comments

That’s right, 100 of the most…let’s say popular pop songs since ’63 all for free download as low bitrate wma files. I’m sure there are a few songs you’d like to have, but not so much that you’d splurge and pay the 99 centavos. Have at it!

virtually (most pointless post yet!)

July 24th, 2005 No comments

I woke up this morning desparate for some human contact. For some reason “human contact” gets replaced by “random web surfing” in my glitchy neural network, which is probably a bit sad. At any rate, ten or twenty minutes of doing searches for stuff like “musician nyc” and “band blog” led me to Mark Taw. Mark is a bassplayer and technology guy from Brooklyn. I spent a while digging through his archives and listening to his old band Pettycoat, and now I think I’m ready to go back to sleep.

Yep, pointless.

Oh yeah, I have a blog. Kind of forgot about that what with all the time I’ve been dedicating to moping and self-pity.

Anyway, the OS codenamed Longhorn is now officially Windows Vista

XML Serialization w/o the XML Declaration

July 2nd, 2005 No comments

Have you ever wanted serialize an object graph to an xml document without the xml declaration? Several people have asked how to do it, so I posted the XmlTextWriterNoDeclaration to gotdotnet. It’s an example of how to create a custom XmlTextWriter which doesn’t write the XML declaration. Pass it to your XmlSerializer and enjoy!
