I can’t find no Gerrard Street…

January 17th, 2010 2 comments

…but there are a few Gerrard Avenues about. No, “Gerard Street” doesn’t count.

Would anyone be kind enough to take a photo of one of those places and send me a copy? I would appreciate it. If you don’t live near any of them, but you have a friend who does, can you email them a link to this page? Heck, email them if they even live in the right state and maybe they’ll know someone. Or tweet it. Or post a Facebook status update.

Adventures In Facial Hair

January 17th, 2008 No comments

Inspired by my friend Boltsy, I decided to make my first attempt at growing facial hair. I grew it before and during my annual winter vacation. About a month and a half later, it was time to get rid of it.

One of my goals for the year is to get into video, so here’s my first little project.

Wall Of Shame

April 23rd, 2003 No comments

Before Sarah and I moved to our new apartment we talked about putting up pictures of everyone who ever came over. We’ve been taking the pictures, but it wasn’t until Sunday that the Wall of Shame went live, if you will. Now we’re desparately trying to think of people to invite over so we can put up some more pictures.

Ok, we don’t have pictures of everyone who has come over. My friend Carl’s picture vanished into the ether the day he left for Seattle. We also made the conscious decision not to include family, or anyone who comes over in a professional capacity. That said, I’m seriously considering making an exception for the super.

Sarah says the wall makes our friends famous…at least within the confines of our apartment. We spend so much of our lives looking at celebrities’ images that their faces start to seem familiar as if they were long lost cousins or something. It’s way more satisfying to have our friends smiling faces burned into our long term memory.

Ok, not all of them are smiling.

I know we’re still in the honeymoon period with Ye Old Wall, because I haven’t figured out a way to suppress the automatic grin that sneaks up on my face whenver I look at it. We actually did it! I’m really going to make an effort to remember this the next time we come up with a silly idea. I can’t wait for the next project…
